History · 2026-09-28
Grotto began on September 10, 1889, in Hamilton, New York. LeRoy Fairchild and fellow Master Masons shared a simple idea: to come together in a spirit of friendship and fun.
That tradition continues in local Grottoes. Understanding our history helps us understand the present: fellowship comes to life through people, gatherings and service.
